hmmm~ maybe it can be like a comic strip where they all those fighting kind of effects haha! i can't think of anything much, maybe you can make the background where his training or fighting an enemy? can't really think of much sorry. >.<
as for the image i think you need to vector it to make it clearer. =]

i prefer larger as if it's too small you can't see the picture too clearly, which you would just ignore in the end. not too big as well, as it takes up lots of space, so moderate would be good! =]
